Katrina Kaif is one of the few actresses who are pretty vocal about their thoughts- be it talking about her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, failures or movies, Katrina Kaif never minces her words. And in the latest, during a interview, Katrina Kaif opened up on gender pay gap in Bollywood. Katrina said that gender pay gap in Bollywood doesn’t anger her but gives her the motivation to work harder towards a scenario where female-led films get the same budget as a male-led film.
Furthermore, the ‘Zero’ actress said that it is unjustified to compare box office collections of female-led films with those of male actors because the projects don’t get the same financial backing. “My argument to that is, which I discuss with a lot of producers I’m close to and have worked with, give the female dominated films, with may be one or two female leads, the same budget and mounting that you are giving to the male stars or the combination of a male and a female star. Give that to a female film and see what happens then,” Katrina said.
On the work front, Katrina Kaif will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ opposite Akshay Kumar.
