Gehlot, Pilot and galaxy of top state leaders campaign while paying tributes to farmer leader
Mandawa: It was a one-in-all programme. The setting was perfect for emotion and poll business. It was the death anniversary of former PCC President and farmer leader late Ramnarayan Choudhary and on this occasion, a ‘Kisan Sammelan’ was organised in Jhunjhunu. Since Mandawa is also gearing up for the by-polls, daughter of late Ramnarayan Choudhary Rita Choudhary, who is a Congress candidate, things couldn’t be better with CM Ashok Gehlot, PCC chief and Deputy CM, Sachin Pilot and a host of other leaders present on the occasion.
Speaking at the Kisan Sammelan of Jhunjhunu, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said Parakala Prabhakar, husband of Union finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, was writing articles that the economic condition of the country is not right and he himself is suggesting that the policies of Narsimha Rao and Manmohan Singh should be implemented. Gehlot said the nation’s experts were saying that economy is going down but still the people of the country are chanting Modiiiii…..Modi…! He said everybody has a sense of nationalism and for this, do we have to take the certificate from BJP or from Prime Minister Narendra Modi?
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot said though Congress candidate from Mandawa, Rita Choudhary, at times, gets angry, but she is the right person. Pilot said that he now feels that the people of Mandawa will make the right person win and do the correct thing. He assured the people that no stone will be left unturned for the development of Jhunjhunu and Mandawa and said that late Ramnarayan Choudhary had left his daughter to look after the people of Mandawa and therefore, her respect and dedication should be maintained.
In this Kisan Sammelan, about half a dozen ministers were present and they were Raghu Sharma, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Parsadilal Meena, Ramesh Meena, Govind Dotasara and Bhanwarlal Meghwal among others. On this occasion, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas attacked Hanuman Beniwal without taking his name and also raised questions on BJP.
He said the condition of the leaders, who had strengthened BJP, should be seen and now they were also leaving Vasundhara Raje.
Through this Kisan Sammelan, Congress conducted an election meeting and had struck the emotional chord by calling candidate Rita Choudhary, daughter of Mandawa. Well, how far these statements will have their impact, will be known on October 24, when the votes will be counted.
