Jaipur: The Congress view of Muslims has always been that of just a vote bank, while the BJP believes in the development of every section of the society, said BJP state president Satish Poonia while targeting the ruling Congress on Tuesday.
“The Congress has done politics of loot and jhoot for 55 years, while the BJP has strengthened its faith by doing many things for the development of minorities from the era of Vajpayee government to Modi government-2,” he claimed.
Poonia was addressing the prominent citizen conference on the occasion of the birth anniversary celebrations of former President late APJ Abdul Kalam. The Kalam Jayanti function was organised at the Totuka Bhawan by the BJP Minority Morcha.
Addressing the gathering, Poonia said that the Congress had sown the seeds of hatred and partition in Jammu and Kashmir. PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah resolved the Kashmir problem within 48 hours. Now employment and tourism will increase in Kashmir and peace will prevail there. Kashmir will stand as the head of India.
He said that time is changing and the environment is also changing. This change has also encouraged confidence in minorities. Congress has always done vote bank politics and since Independence, minority class has been fighting for education and respect. If anyone worked for Muslims in this country, it was Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi.
Poonia said that former President late Abdul Kalam Azad will always be remembered for his honesty, true service and patriotism.
The National President of BJP Minority Morcha Abdul Rashid Ansari said the Morcha is doing a good job in the state. The conference was also addressed by former State President Ashok Parnami and Morcha state president Majid Malik Commando.
On this occasion, talented members from the minority community were also felicitated.
