Jaipur: Under the Jansunwai programme of the ruling Congress party, food and civil supplies minister Ramesh Meena on Friday heard the grievances and problems of the party workers and the public at the PCC headquarters. Congress secretary Vivek Bansal was also present on the occasion.
During Jansunwai PCC had more crowd on Friday as compared to Thursday. Congress workers from various districts apprised the minister of their grievances who assured action after hearing their complaint. On some complaints, Meena even called the concerned officers. Whereas for redressal of some complaints, he directed officials to write letters to concerned departments.
Meena heard the problems of Congress workers and the public for two hours from 11 am to 1 pm. During this time 125 grievances/complaints were registered. The minister directed the officials immediately to resolve most of the problems.
For the public hearing, Meena had reached the PCC at 10 am along with the team of officials who took immediate action on the complaints received.
During the public hearing, more than 100 women reached the Congress office simultaneously. Women told that they are facing problems due to mistakes in their ration cards and so they are not getting food items. Due to the problem of ration cards, they are neither getting the benefit of Bhamashah card nor are they getting food items available on time. Meena instructed the officials to immediately redress the women’s complaints.
While addressing media, Meena said the purpose of the public hearing is to bring about better synergy between the government and the organisation in Rajasthan, He said after meeting CM Gehlot, efforts will be made to make strong laws against adulteration.
