Bhubaneswar: Cyclone Bulbul formed over the Bay of Bengal intensified and is set to head towards the West Bengal and Bangladesh coasts, the IMD said on Friday.
“Cyclone Bulbul has intensified. It will move towards West Bengal and Bangladesh. The wind speed would be around 10 kilometers per hour. Puri will also be going to receive rainfall,” said Pradeep Kumar Jena, Special Relief Commissioner Odisha.
The fishing operation has been totally suspended over Odisha-West Bengal coasts. T The fishermen out at sea are advised to return to the coast.

Heavy rain likely in Odisha: IMD has said that several places over Odisha are likely to receive heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday, due to the influence of Cyclonic Storm ‘Bulbul’. The Pampan port authorities have hoisted cyclone warning as the fishermen have been warned against venturing into the sea for fishing till further orders.
