E-auction earns Rs 18.06 cr revenue for RHB, says Arora

Jaipur: The second phase of e-auction programme being carried out by the Rajasthan Housing Board, at a discount of up to 50 per cent, has also been a huge success. In this phase, 127 houses and flats of three districts were sold by the board. The board has received a revenue of Rs 18.06 crore from the auction.

Housing Board Commissioner Pawan Arora informed that the second phase of e-auction programme was started in Ajmer, Kishangarh, Beawar, Nasirabad, Churu and Sikar cities on October 9. It is noteworthy that the number of houses and flats of EWS was more in the second phase. Arora added that the first phase of the e-auction programme by RHB was started on September 30, which lasted till October 7. In this phase, 168 properties were sold through e-auction, resulting in a revenue generation of Rs 42.66 crore for the Board. Therefore, 295 houses were sold by the board in two phases, which has earned it a revenue of Rs60.74 crore.

Pawan Arora said that the third phase of e-auction will be held from November 14 to 18. In this phase, 547 houses located in Jaipur’s Indira Gandhi Nagar, Kotputli and Dausa will be sold through e-auction. The RHB Commissioner has also appealed to the public to participate in the auction and buy cheap and claim-free houses for them at good locations, while taking advantage of the discounts being given by the board.
