Actor Malhaar Rathod and VJ Varun Sood were in the Pink City to promote the on-going television show ‘MTV Nishedh’
The youth today, in spite of being educated enough about everything, is afraid to speak out loud on the most pertinent health issues and break the stigma. This is exactly what the on-going show ‘MTV Nishedh’ talks about, where MTV Staying Alive Foundation and Viacom 18 has partnered with CIFF, UNICEF, BMGF, Ashoka University, Packard Foundation, and Johnson & Johnson. With themes around love, ambition, empowerment, family, and health, MTV Nishedh, which has been shot in Udaipur, aims to educate and entertain through powerful stories using youth as the catalyst of change.
Talking about the show, VJ Varun Sood said, “It is very important for the youth to be able to talk to their parents regarding their personal life issues, no matter what it is. With the harsh realities, this show has the potential to change the way youth thinks about the on-going issues in their lives, and I’m proud to be a Cause Supporter of the show, with Bhumi Pednekar.”
Malhaar Rathod, one of the actors in the show, stated, “If the serious matters are hidden from the youth, they tend to become aggressive, and eventually get deep into it. It’s always better to be open about what one is going through, to at least one person, so that things don’t get too complicated. Being a part of this show taught me so much about the sexual problems, TB, health issues and so much more, which I would not have known otherwise.”
