Full throttle CM says govt on right track to serve masses

Sikar: Speaking at the public dedication of a newly constructed building by Sikar Municipal council “Shri Kalyan Bhawan” on Saturday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said his government would leave no stone unturned in fulfilling promises made to the people and will do the needful to live up to their expectations and aspirations. He said, providing a transparent and sensitive and accountable administration was the top most priority of his government.

He also inaugurated a sewerage treatment plant and inaugurated the renovation work of Nehru Park and also laid down the foundation of Mahatma Gandhi Nani Lake.

Chief Minister said, government was making all efforts to provide facilities at district headquarters for the people. For this, the basic infrastructure is being beefed up. He assured that his government was committed to develop facilities like medical, electricity, water and road.

Speaking about the announcements made in the budget by his government, Gehlot said an excellent budget was presented this year and that all sectors were taken care of without any prejudice. He said announcement of creating 50 new colleges has been made and the previous government had made several announcements without any budgetary provision and they couldn’t be materialised on ground. He said during his last regime, announcement of medical college in Sikar was made but the previous BJP tenure shifted it to Churu and now he has got the approval of medical college in Sikar and soon the foundation will be laid. He said the government had also fulfilled the long standing demand of a university.

Informing people about the attempts of his administration in resolving the water woes of Shekhawati region, he said the issue had been taken up with all seriousness at two high-level meetings in Chandigarh at the recently held Northern Zone meeting which was chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that DPR “to plug” the water-logging problem at Nawalgarh road had been made.

Fiscal and Harmony in danger

Speaking on national issues, Gehlot said that the fiscal situation and the harmony scenario in the country were under stress. He said, it was because of leaders like Pandit Nehru and Indira Gandhi that democracy in the country was still alive. He said during the UPA government, the era based on ‘rights’ had started and people got right of education, information, food security and right to employment in the form of MNREGA.

UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal, while addressing the gathering, said that during the last tenure, unprecedented development of Sikar had taken place and this time too development will be done with the same zeal.

Speaking on the occasion, state Minister for Education Govind Singh Dotasara gave credit to CM for the development of Sikar while MLA Rajendra Pareek said that due to the efforts of Gehlot, Rajiv Gandhi smriti van was made in Sikar.

Former minister Ghanshyam Tiwari addressed the gathering and said that Gehlot represented culture of political goodwill, while several other leaders like MLA Mahadev Singh Khandela, Chairman of Nagar Parishad Jeevan Khan, MLA Parasram Mordia etc were also present on the occasion.
