Gehlot govt’s Right to Health Bill will come up in Budget session

Jaipur: To realise the dream of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to make Rajasthan a healthy state, the government will bring ‘Right to Health’ Bill in the Budget session of the Assembly, said Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma.

He added that the health department will pay special attention to Right to Health.

“It is a big initiative for people of the state. We want Rajasthan to be number one state in health in the country. And, for this we will table a bill on ‘Right to Health’ in the upcoming Budget session of the Assembly. We are also paying special attention towards free medicine and free medical test schemes,” he told media persons in Sikar on Tuesday. Dr Sharma said Gehlot government wants to provide free medical and health service to the poor people of the state for which a work plan in underway.

According to the health minister, the state government will soon begin recruitment of doctors and nursing employees.

The Central government couldn’t give 11 medical colleges in 70 years but we are going to set up 15 medical colleges in 11 months, he added.

Meanwhile, Dr Sharma who was in Sikar to attend party workers’ meeting regarding ‘Bharat Bachao’ rally in Delhi, took Modi government to task for destroying the country’s economy.

“The GDP has plummeted to 1.5% which was 8.5% during Dr Man Mohan Singh’s government. The government is lying that the GDP is 4.5%,” the senior Congress leader said.

According to him Industrialists are being threatened Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and income tax departments while the employment opportunities have been reduced.

Sharma speak: “The BJP government’s promise of providing employment has proved to be hollow. Farmers are unable to recover price of their crops. It would be difficult to bring back the economy on track,” he said while saying that ‘Bharat Bachao’ rally in Delhi on December 14 will be a historic one.
