Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot reached Sultanpur Lodhi on Tuesday morning to attend the 550th Prakashotsav of Guru Nanak Dev where he prayed at the Gurdwara Ber Sahib and took blessings of the Guru Granth Sahib while also praying for the bright future of the state.
President Ramnath Kovind, Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore, and Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh were among the other dignitaries who attended the event.Meanwhile, during the day the CM targeted the Narendra Modi-led NDA government over the economic situation of the country, saying the government is not at all paying attention to the economy. “Industrial output contracts for a second straight month, down 4.3 percent in September, which is the weakest performance in nearly 8 years due to sluggishness across a number of sectors including manufacturing,” Gehlot said. “It is yet another sign of #EconomicSlowdown but NDA is not at all paying attention to the economy,” he tweeted. After spending the day at Sultanpur Lodhi in Punjab and attending the event, Gehlot returned back to Jaipur.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot reached Raja Park Gurdwara to seek blessings on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Ji on Tuesday morning.
While interacting with the media during that time, Pilot said that the alliance of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is continuously weakening and the public mandate is being mocked.
Pilot added that discussion is going on what will be an alternative system and how a permanent government can be formed. The governor has to make a decision now. Pilot also said the people of Maharashtra are watching that the party who ruled for five years and got the majority this time as well is unable to form the government.
