Govt making efforts to encourage skill development among youth

Jaipur: Government is making serious efforts in the direction of encouraging skill development in state. Efforts are also being made to encourage entrepreneurship also along with skill development said CM Gehlot. For this, more and more training is being imparted to youth through skill Development University and ITIs.

Gehlot was speaking as Chief Guest on Thursday during the 7th convocation ceremony of Indian Institute of Crafts and Design situated in Jhalana Institutional Area. He distributed certificates to students who had passed out from various courses. Highlighting steps taken by his government for promoting entrepreneurship, Gehlot informed about Rajasthan MSME (facilitation and establishment operation) Act 2019 and said through this, government has given freedom from all kinds of approvals and inspection for three years to the units which are set up.

Speaking about the economic situation of the country, the CM said that country’s economic situation was worrisome. The effect of slowdown was visible on industries, middle class and workers. Therefore the youth by getting training of skill development can strengthen the economy. During the ceremony, Industries Minister Parsadi Lal Meena said that the institution will be given full cooperation of the government. Chief secretary DB Gupta, additional chief secretary of Industries Dr Subodh Agarwal, chairman of Ambuja Newatia Group Harshvardhan Newatia, director IICD Dr Tulika Gupta were present.
