‘Save Girl Educate Girl’ Mass Attempt Group Dance Performance.

Students of Nirman High School Ahmedabad have achieved a record titled ‘Save Girl Educate Girl’ Mass Attempt Group Dance Performance’ in both the Guinness Book of Record India and World Record India.

More than 6,000 students from three branches of Nirman High School in Ahmedabad, located at Vastrapur, Panchvati, and Vasna, came together on Friday to krump their way into the record books.

Krumping is a street dance form characterized by energetic, expressive and exaggerated movements that was created and popularized in the US in the last decade by youths looking for a way “to express raw emotions in a powerful but non-violent way.” On Friday morning, 6,457 students krumped in perfect synchrony to the song Mardani Anthem performed krumping style of dance.

In a note to the press, Nirman High School Ahmedabad called the record a “humble and a small contribution” to spread the message of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Gujarat’s Education Minister, Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, was present at the record-making event as the chief guest. He congratulated the school for achieving a place in the Guinness Book of Record India and World Record India.
