Ahmedabad: As a part of the All India Congress Committee’s nationwide agitation on the economic slowdown, failure of law and order, and unemployment, Gujarat is going to have agitation on three stages.
“The agitation programmer will be held at Taluka level from November 8 to 10, at district level from Nov 11 – 13, while on Nov 15, there will be agitation in form of rally and stage protest across the state”, Rajiv Satav Gujarat In-charge of Congress told reporters.
“The economy has crumbled. The BJP government has given only slogans and there is no concrete step for nation-building. Their slogans are boomeranging, they said Congress Mukt Bharat and while congress is becoming stronger after each election. ‘Achche din aane wale hai, they said but where are acche dins? What congress had achieved in 60 to 65 years for the country, BJP is making it to zero,” he said.
Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee president Amit Chavda said there is anger among people against the government. “Anger of public is reflecting on people’s mandate. BJP has failed to gain people’s trust despite their big slogans and hence we will raise people’s voice during agitation programs. Farmers are not getting insurance money after their crops have failed. We will raise voice for the employment of youth and also about disruption in daily life due to slowdown”, said the president.
Rajasthan Health Minister, Raghu Sharma said, “Economy is on a ventilator, creation of employment is in a comma and there is a situation of financial emergency. In the 2014 election, Modi made tall promises of employment and benefits to farmers but never fulfilled”.
