Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and his government have thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Central Government for selecting Surat to set up Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT).
He also thanked Prime Minister Modi for constituting a trust for the Ram Temple construction.
He said that by making the announcement, Prime Minister Modi has respected the belief of crores of Hindus. Since decades Hindu’s were waiting for this day.
CM Rupani expressed that the new generation is information and technology savvy.
In South Gujarat there is a regional engineering college, this will provide huge scope for youths of South and Central Gujarat to explore their future in campus at Surat.
Surat is the hub of Synthetic Textiles, Diamond, Zari, Chemical, Petrochemical, Petroleum and Gas sector. Now the IIIT coming up in Surat will inspired entrepreneurs to invest in information and technology sector as they will get ready engineers for the sector and will not have to look to other states for candidates.
He remembered that during the tenure of Narendra Modi as chief minister he developed a concept of sectoral universities and so the state has universities like GFSU, PDPU, National Law University, Raksha University, Maritime University, these all universities are world class universities attracting faculties from across the nation and the world.
Prime Minister’s new gift to Gujarat in form of IIIT will add another feather in the cap of the state and will make a destination of studies and will attract students not just from across the nation but from across the globe.
CM Rupani is in Delhi since Monday is campaigning for the party candidates contesting assembly elections. Where Rupani has appealed to voters to vote for BJP candidates so that Gujarat model of development can be implemented in Delhi too.
