Ahmedabad: On Friday, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will dedicate a revamped food street in the Law Garden area. This is the fourth facelift for this street in 60 years.
Now, there will be 34 food vans stationed in that stretch from evening to dawn. Termed as modern and hygienic, the street has been redeveloped by the National Institute of Design (NID) at a cost of Rs8.50 crore. The compound walls of the street have a heritage look, featuring a replica of Teen Darwaja carved in Jaipuri stones. It is the civic body’s intention that the street will be used as a parking space during the day and play host to food vans once dusk falls.
