‘Cong served biryani to terrorist all these years’, alleges CM Rupani

Surat: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Sunday alleged that the Congress party has a special affection for terrorists and “all these years it has served biryani to them.”

He was addressing a rally in support of the Citizens Amendment Act (CAA). The huge rally started at Sardar Patel statue near Mini Bazaar and stretched up to Hirabaug, where thousands of Surtis joined in their support to CAA.
Rupani further alleged that those who want another partition of the country are opposing CAA, which has been brought in to give citizenship to those Hindus, Christians, Jains, Parsi and Baudhs, who are suffering at the hands of Muslims in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

The Bharatiya Janata Party had promised the country in its manifesto that it will abolish Article 370 and bring in CAA and it has kept its promise, the Chief Minister said and added, “We only give promises which we can keep, we don’t fool people by making false promises.”

A large section of the society has joined the rally to convey a strong message to the opponents. “Congress and other rival political parties are opposing the CAA because they want to divide the society and the country,” Rupani said.

He also added that they are not only misleading a section of the society but are also instigating Muslims because the Congress still indulges in vote bank politics.

Rupani asserted that the Congress should come out and tell the people how many times they have violated the Constitution. “You had imposed emergency for 650 days and converted the entire country into a jail by snatching away people’s constitutional rights,” the Chief Minister told the Congress party.

“Why did Congress leaders attended condolence meeting at the JNU. Congress should explain its relation with Afzal. In Kerala, with the help of terrorist photos you have tried to get votes. Was the Congress sleeping when the serial bomb blasts torn apart Mumbai. Till date you have treated well and served biryani to terrorists in Kashmir,” he asserted.

The Congress has weakened the country. “Rahul (Gandhi), Mamata (Banerjee) and Arvind Kejriwal, all speak in the same language because their DNA is the same, they have a single point agenda and “that is to see that our country does not become a superpower,” alleged Rupani.
