Running for the Future

The State Bank of India brought the 3rd edition of the SBI Green Marathon to Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati River Front on Sunday. HK Jena, DMD, Global Markets, SBI and Dukhbandu Rath, CGM, Ahmedabad Circle, SBI, flagged-off the run, which aims to promote environmental sustainability and ensure a better life for future generations. About 6,500 enthusiastic runners, including senior bank officials, participated in 5, 10, 21 km runs. Nayan Mongia, Former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, also graced the event.

All the runners were given organic t-shirts to promote clean and green city, and the bibs of 5km runners consisted of seeds which were planted post marathon. The 3rd edition of the multi-city SBI Green Marathon will now travel to Bhopal, Patna, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chandigarh, and New Delhi.
