What PM Modi did
On the last day of campaigning for the Haryana Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at Congress rule in India, saying that the Grand Old party neglected Jammu and Kashmir for the last 70 years, and asked why were the provisions of Article 370 and Article 35A not abrogated when they were in power.
What Amit Shah did
Union Home Minister and BJP chief Amit Shah on Saturday dared Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to declare that his party will restore provisions of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir if voted to power.
Shah said that after Narendra Modi won a second term with a massive mandate in May this year, the first thing he did was to abrogate provisions of Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
