"Their intention to finish unity, show dominance": Kharge slams PM Modi's 'Ek hai toh safe hai' remark

Palamu: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath slogan for their slogan "Ek hai toh safe hai" and "batenge toh katenge" respectively saying that their intention is to finish unity and show their dominance.
Kharge accused PM Modi and CM Yogi of using divisive language to undermine national unity.
"He (PM Modi) is saying 'Ek hai toh safe hai', UP CM Yogi Adityanath is 'batenge toh katenge'. Let them decide which slogan will run. We have kept the country safe. Now people have come to break the country and that is why such a language is being used. If they worked by taking everyone together like Congress, then such things would not have come up. Their intention is to finish unity and try to show your dominance," the Congress President told ANI.
Kharge further said that every party leader has faith in their workers to secure a win, and he's confident that the gathbandhan alliance will emerge victorious in Jharkhand, forming the next government. In Maharashtra also, the Congress leader said that the Congress is in a strong position, with everyone working together seamlessly, paving the way for their alliance to take power.
"Every party, every leader keeps faith in their party workers and they hope to win the elections. I am hopeful that the gathbandhan alliance will 100% win and form the government in Jharkhand. In Maharashtra too, we are in a good position. Everyone is working together and our alliance will form its government," he said.
Earlier, PM Modi took a jab at the opposition on Friday, likening the Maha Vikas Aghadi to a vehicle without wheels or brakes and called them out for "misgovernance" and "looting" the people of the state.
Addressing a gathering in Dhule ahead of the November 20 Assembly elections, the Prime Minister said, "MVA's 'gaadi' has neither wheels nor brakes and there's a fight as to who will sit on the driver's seat. Their only aim in politics is to loot people. When people like MVA form government, they cause hindrances in every government policy and development."
Further taking a hit at the Congress party, PM Modi said that the party's agenda is to create a rift between all the tribal communities of the country.
"Congress' agenda is to create a rift between all the tribal communities of the country. When Congress tried this conspiracy with religious groups, it led to the partition of the country. Now Congress is inciting SC, ST, and OBC categories against each other. There can be no bigger conspiracy for India. You will stay strong as long as you stay united. 'Ek hai toh safe hai," said PM Modi.
Voting for the 288-member Maharashtra legislative assembly is scheduled to be held on November 20 whereas the Jharkhand Assembly elections are set to be held in two phases on November 13 and 20, with vote counting scheduled for both the states on November 23.
