Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor announce the name of their daughter; receive love from friends and fans

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt gave their fans the most heartwarming news when they announced their daughter's arrival. All eyes were on the little munchkin since then, every fan eagerly waiting for the following news. While there were rumours flying around that the couple has decided to give the late Rishi Kapoor a tribute through their daughter’s name, no concrete confirmation has come. But the couple surprised everyone yesterday when they finally announced the name of their child with an adorable post.

Taking to her Instagram, Alia posted the cutest photo of her and Ranbir with their daughter. While their figures were blurred in the foreground, the background showed a small Barcelona jersey with the name ‘Raha’ hung in a small photo frame on the wall. Explaining the meaning of the name and the person who chose it, Alia wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…Raha, in its purest form means divine path
in Swahili she is Joy,
In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan,
In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief,
in Arabic peace,
it also means happiness, freedom & bliss.

And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! ❤️

It seems that the beautiful name that rolls off the tongue so smoothly was chosen by none other than the proud grandmother, Neetu Kapoor.

The news went viral as soon as it was posted and several celebrities took to the comments section to appreciate the name.
