Janhvi recalls first Rakshabandhan with Arjun Kapoor to be the most special
Mumbai (Maharashtra): The beautiful celebration of Rakshabandhan is finally at the corner and this means that everyone is gearing up for the first big festivity of the year. After two years of missing out on family gatherings, running around the house with cousins and loads and loads of sweets and good food, this year, people can finally breathe freely and spend this special day with their special ones. The same goes for celebrities who have patiently been waiting for this day to arrive. It is especially auspicious for Janhvi Kapoor who will finally get to tie her siblings’ rakhi after reuniting with them a few years back.
During a chat with ETimes, the actress shared that she feels stronger, warm and safe around her siblings. She said, “I think with every passing year, I’ve felt stronger and more secure because of the love and the strength of my siblings, and more so in the past couple of years. Khushi and I have always been extremely protective of each other, but now, there are two more siblings in the equation — Arjun bhaiyya and Anshula didi. Right off the bat, there was a sense of ‘we are there for each other’, ‘we have each other’s backs’, and that we want to be a family in whatever sense of the word we can make that happen. It means the most to us that we get to be there for each other. I sleep better knowing that I have two such solid people looking out for me. I hope they feel the same for me because I know that I’d do anything for them.”
Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were not on talking terms with their half-siblings Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor due to the differences between their mothers Sridevi and Mona Shourie Kapoor. But after the death of Janhvi’s mother, Sridevi, Arjun and Ashula stood by the actress and her sister’s side which brought them closer than ever. Now, the four of them are inseparable and may their bond continue to be the same.
