Prakash Raj mercilessly trolled Akshay Kumar for his appearance as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his blunder with the 'electric bulb' goof-up

Mumbai (Maharashtra): The frame of a chandelier may be seen in Akshay Kumar's first shot as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It has a flaw where it is clear that the chandelier has light bulbs put all over its rim. The joke is being made since Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who reigned from 1630 to 1680, lived long after the invention of the light.

As soon as internet users discovered the bug, they began teasing Akshay and urged him not to play The Great Maratha King on the big screen. Additionally, many people claimed that the bulk of the audience will always remember Khiladi Kumar as Bala from Housefull 4 regardless of the characters he would play, such as Samrat Prithviraj or Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Prakash uploaded the image of Akshay's expression while making the mistake on Twitter, raising the bar for criticism. He also shared a meme featuring Akshay and PM Narendra Modi where Modi asks Akshay, "Shivaji Maharaj ke time electric bulb kaise aa gaye gutka khor?" To which Akshay replies, "Waise hi jaise aapke pass 1988 mein digital camera aa gaya tha." The actor captioned his Twitter post saying, "Mann Ki Baat" followed by a hashtag #JustAsking.

Aside from the trolling, the good news is that the creators may learn from social media and fix the error in production so long as they are receptive to criticism from the people they are producing the movie for.

Jay Dudhane, Utkarsha Shinde, Vishal Nikam, Virat Madke, Hardik Joshi, Satya, Akshay, Nawab Khan, and Praveen Tarde make up the cast of the movie. The Mahesh Manjrekar-directed film, a Qureshi Production, is scheduled to open in theatres in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on Diwali 2023.
