I wrote my first condom ad for myself : Ranveer Singh

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has come a long way. Right from good content-driven films to commercial projects, the star actor has proved his mettle in every way. The actor apparently always had a knack for copywriting and that even helped him survive his tough phase in his acting career. 

The actor was recently honoured with the International Advertising Association's (IAA) Brand Endorser Of The Year award. In the award ceremony, the actor revealed that he wrote his first ad for a condom brand.

Ranveer made some shocking revelations during the show , he mentioned that copywriting was his backup career option.
He also revealed that he wrote his first ad. In 2014, the actor appeared in a Durex ad titled Do The Rex. Ranveer did everything from writing the lyrics to featuring and singing it. The ad received praise for its subtle approach to a taboo subject.

Ranveer Quoted , “My second film flopped and producers ran away . So I had to wait for four years. The needle was not moving and I was itching because I had these dreams and aspirations. I said I will be a movie star and brand endorser. So I had this idea for Durex condoms, I actually had my management pick up the phone on them and asked if they want to do it. They bit into it and the rest is history."

On the work front, Ranveer recently finished shooting for his upcoming flick, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Alia Bhatt.
