Janhvi opens up about being compared with her mother, Sridevi
Mumbai (Maharashtra): Janhvi Kapoor is the true definition of the quote 'hard work always pays off'. The actor has consistently delivered some really stellar performances, from Gunjan Saxena to her recent, Mili.
Janhvi is the eldest daughter of the late Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. Frequently compared to her mother, the legendary Sridevi who ruled the silver screens in the 70s, 80s and 90s, stated that she is flattered by the comparisons.
The Roohi actor discussed the constant comparisons with her mother with journalist Subhash K. Jha in a recent interview. According to her, she is not the least offended by the comparison, since she is being compared to the very best. The actor further explained that holding one to the highest standard and hoping for the best is similar to holding one to the highest standard.
She added that despite not having her mother's talent or beauty, she will continue to work hard and give her everything she has. This is because cinema is her life and the only thing that keeps her motivated.
The late Sridevi passed away in 2018 in Dubai, right before the debut film of Janhvi Kapoor, Dhadak, was released in the theatres.
Currently, Janhvi Kapoor is busy with several projects for the coming year. She will soon be seen in Bawaal with Varun Dhawan. She also has Mr. And Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao in the pipeline.
