Cong formula for Raj: Gehlot as CM, Dotasra his deputy!
New Delhi: The Congress party has before itself a major puzzle, to solve which is not an easy task. In fact, owing to the ‘pressure’ created by the Pilot camp on the party high command, the difficulty has increased further for the grand-old party.
Meanwhile, it has now been learnt that the Congress leadership is deciding the ‘Rajasthan formula’ under which CM Ashok Gehlot will remain the Chief Minister and the election will be fought under his command only. However, PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra will become Deputy Chief Minister! Thus, in such a situation, who will be the PCC chief in place of Dotasra? No one knows for sure but different people have different guesses about it.
The issue is likely to come up in an important meeting of Congress on Monday in New Delhi. The meeting will be held at AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence in which Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, CM Ashok Gehlot, State in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, PCC president Govind Singh Dotasra, the three co-incharges of Rajasthan will be present. Former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot is also expected to attend the meeting.
Word in the ‘relevant circles’ was that Pilot had stressed, prior to the May 26 meeting of Congress in New Delhi, to provide the post of PCC chief or the head of the campaign committee. Group also sought the position of Deputy CM in cabinet reshuffle while working president of PCC should also be from this camp.
