Adipurush Controversy: One Independent Artist Accuse The Makers Of Stealing His Artwork

Prabhas' Adipurush is all set to release in June but the Om Raut-directed project is making headlines - sometimes for the wrong reasons - every few days. Now, a concept artist named Pratik Sanghar has taken to Facebook and has accused the Adipurush team of copying his designs. He wrote a long note in which he alleged that his work has been lifted by TP Vijayan, visual designer for Adipurush.

The post read, “I am a concept artist from India. I made my exploration for Lord Shri Ram’s possible looks for a Ramayan Epic if it were ever to be made. This was around a year ago. And the official concept artist working on Adipurush literally stole my artwork mix matched it with my similar artwork and called it their own that too without informing me or providing me any compensation. This is one of the reasons for the failure of such a project. People working on it have no passion or love for the project instead they are finding and using cheap tricks to make this project.”

However, later Pratik Sanghar, has allegedly claimed that the makers have not plagiarised his artwork. According to Pratik, a person named TP Vijayan is reportedly 'pretending' to be associated with the team of ‘Adipurush’. He defended the makers of ‘Adipurush’ and claimed that someone is spreading misinformation. Pratik wrote on facebook, “This is me Pratik Sanghar, whose art was plagiarised. Thanks to one of the redditers for bringing this info to light. From the research, I have come to realise that this guy is pretending to be working on this big project. He has also plagiarised other artists work claiming it to be his own while pretending to be working on this project. When it's not true. So, no Adipurush team hasn't used my artwork. I just want this clarified."

Darling star Prabhas will play the role of Lord Ram and Kriti Sanon as Janaki. Saif Ali Khan is the epic villain Lankesh. It is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana.
