Apurva Asrani praises Kangana Ranaut as she supports the Legalization of Same-Sex Marriage In India

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has made a reputation for herself in the industry because of her candid remarks and outspoken opinions. Many of her fans also come out and support her views, despite the fact that it frequently makes her the target of critics. She recently garnered admiration when she was questioned about her thoughts on the ongoing legalization of same-sex marriage in India during a media interview. Apurva Asrani, a filmmaker who has worked on films like Made in Heaven and Aligarh, praised her for her boldness when she stepped out in support.

Apurva, who has been outspoken about his support for same-sex marriage, praised Kangana on Twitter for her boldness. He praised the actress for speaking out on marriage equality in a tweet he shared, although many well-known celebrities have been reluctant to do so.

Kangana said during a recent media interaction, “Jo shaadi hoti hai, woh dil ke rishte hote hai, ye sab hi jante hai. Jab logo ke dil mil gaye hai, baaki kuch logo ki jo preference hai, usme hum kya bol sakte hai (Marriage is a matter of the heart, and everyone knows that. When hearts have met, what can we say about people's preferences)?”

Reacting to Kangana's statement, Apurva tweeted, "A person 'cancelled' by the 'liberal' media has no right to an opinion right? Even if her statement is humane, brave & timely all at once? Kangana Ranaut speaks for #marriageequality. Something that most movie stars have been shy of doing. From one Queen to another, Thankyou (rainbow flag emoticon)."

On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut will star in Emergency, her debut film as a single director. She will portray the late Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The emergency period in India during the middle of the 1970s, which was declared by the then-prime minister, is the subject of this historical political play. Additionally, she is working on RSVP Movies Tejas, Chandramukhi 2, and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda in the pipeline.
