BTS are not going on hiatus: Hybe Label clarifies

Seoul (South Korea): ARMYs around the world went into a frenzy when reports of BTS going on a hiatus came in. The rumour started when the boyband went live on the South Korean celebrity streaming platform, VLive on the eve of their 9-year anniversary. BTS, one of the biggest bands in the world, completed 9 years together. The boy group remembered their debut days and reminisced some songs and memories from the past as they were about to enter the threshold of a new decade as artists.

As per the tradition, they appeared live on the eve of their debut anniversary on June 13, 2022. While talking about their careers as artists, Suga mentioned that the group will focus on their individual careers for now. While translating their Korean speeches into English, the word hiatus was added. This sent ARMYs around the world into a frenzy as the translation stated that the singers will go into a hiatus as a group and focus on their individual careers.

Now, Hybe Label, the entertainment agency that handles BTS has clarified on Tuesday that the group will not take a hiatus but focus on their individual careers as artists. The statement said, “BTS are not taking a hiatus. Members will be focusing more on solo projects at this time.”

No further details about any collaborations, individually taken projects, or member units have been disclosed. BTS recently released their song ‘Yet To Come’ from their newest album ‘Proof’. It is a 3 CD album with 48 songs that include three new songs, ‘Yet To Come’, ‘Run BTS’ and ‘For Youth’ on respective CDs. The album takes a look back at all the important songs in the career of BTS and also some unreleased tracks, all of which were chosen carefully by each member.
