Mahesh Bhatt on Anupam Kher giving him money!

Anupam Kher's initial break in the entertainment industry was infamously provided by Mahesh Bhatt with the 1984 movie Saaransh, in which the 28-year-old Kher portrayed an elderly man.

Bhatt claimed that Kher still pays him after every successful movie because he was the one who gave him a break in a recent interview. “Anupam still does give me money. The last time he gave me money was after the phenomenal success of The Kashmir Files,” he said. 

Bhatt stated that Kher was in a dental clinic when he unexpectedly turned up there to seek for money following the popularity of The Kashmir Files. “I said give me the money and he gave me. He has been giving me money ever since Saaransh became a success and those memories are memories, we must always draw from and not let the ideological differences that create a wedge between us, get the better of us,” he said.
