1 cr school students to sing patriotic songs across State

Jaipur: On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated across the country. In Rajasthan, preparations are being made to set a world record under which 1 crore school students across the state will sing patriotic songs at 10:15 am on Friday. The main programme is at SMS Stadium where CM Ashok Gehlot, Education Minister BD Kalla and UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal will also be present along with 26,000 students. ACS Education Pawan Kumar Goyal said that 67,000 govt and 50,000 private schools from class IX to XII will sing 6 patriotic songs. About 44 lakh tricolours have been prepared through the Central govt and about 25 lakh through voluntary groups and NGOs.
