‘2,427 online fraud, 4,405 cybercrime cases registered’

Jaipur: BJP MLA Sandeep Sharma raised the issue of online fraud and cybercrime in the state during the Question Hour in the Assembly on Tuesday. Replying to the question, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal said that 2,427 cases of online fraud have been registered in the State in which 207 people have been arrested and in 253 cases, challan has been presented, in 1,841 cases FR has been imposed. He said that investigation is going on in 333 cases of online fraud. He said that 4,405 cases of cybercrime have been filed in which 1,474 people were arrested and challans were produced in 1,443 cases and in 2,278 cases FR was imposed. Investigation is going on in 684 cases. Dhariwal replied that the cases of online fraud and cyber thugs are investigated by trained officers. On the criteria of qualification, Dhariwal said that officers and employees are trained.
