After bird-hit, Air Asia flight aborts take-off at Jpr International airport

Jaipur: A Mumbaibound Air Asia flight had to abandon take off after suffering a bird-hit while ascending on the runway of the Jaipur International Airport on Tuesday morning. Sources informed the aircraft was scheduled to take-off at around 10:25am when it was hit by a bird. “The bird got stuck in the wing of the plane, following which, the ATC was alerted. Around 150 passengers were immediately deboarded from the plane and a team of engineers reached the spot. Nearly after a delay of five hours, the plane got permission to take-off,” said a source. “A video also surfaced on social media where students are seen sitting on the floor and waiting to board the flight. The plane took off for Mumbai at 3:30pm,” added the source.
