Dalit minor girl raped in govt school’s bathroom in Barmer
Barmer: A 16-year-old dalit girl was raped in the government school’s bathroom in Barmer. Though the incident took place on September 24, due to threats by the accused, the victim’s family avoided any police complaint. On Tuesday when the victim’s father, who has been working outside, arrived a formal police complaint was lodged. Incident has been reported from Gudamalani police station area in Barmer. Ramesh Dhaka,SHO at Gudamalani police station confirmed the report. He said that they have lodged the case and have done the medical examination of the victim. Meanwhile till the last report accused was on the run. According to the information, a woman approached the Gudamalani police with complaint of rape with her minor daughter. She alleged that on September 24, her daughter went to get the cow dung. In the meantime, the accused, who met her daughter on the way, suggested to her daughter that there is cow dung available outside the bathroom in the school campus. Complainant alleged that when her daughter went in the school to get the cow dung, accused who already reached there, forcibly pushed her daughter in the bathroom and raped her. Victim claimed that on hearing the noise of some passerby, the accused fled from the spot. Complainant further alleged that soon after the incident she attempted police action but the accused threatened her. She claimed that when her husband came back, they approached the police. Police said that they have lodged the case and have done the medical examination. Meanwhile till the last report accused was on the run.
