Docs can now give evidence statement from SMS hospital

Jaipur: A court evidence video conference centre was inaugurated at SMS medical college in Jaipur on Friday. With this, doctors will not be required to go to courts for evidence.
CJ SS Shinde inaugurated centre through video conference which was joined by high court judge from Jodhpur Arun Bhansali & all district judges. Now the evidence statements of doctors will be done through VC from this remote point. This will also speed up disposal of court cases.

The high court has also made the “Rajasthan High Court Rules for VC for Court-2020” for this purpose. The rules have come into effect from August 2 2021.
Chief Justice has instructed all district judges to testify as witnesses under VC rules. “Remote point in SMS Hospital will not only facilitate doctors to record their statements virtually but it will also speed up the trial of court cases,” said Justice SS Shinde, CJ of Raj High Court.
