MLAs Bhakar, Mehrishi get death threats, 2 held

Nagaur: The Nagaur Police has arrested two for demanding a ransom of Rs 2 crore and threatening to kill Ladnun MLA Mukesh Bhakar and Ratangarh MLA Abhinesh Mehrishi. According to police, the MLAs had received threat calls from Kuwait. Accused Pawan Godara and Sanjay Chowdhary were arrested. During interrogation, it was revealed that threats were made through internet calls in the name of Rohit Godara to get him arrested.

Nagaur police collected evidence by sending teams to more than 12 states in the last two months and over a 100 people were questioned. Police said that several criminal cases have been registered against both the acused. SP Ramamurthy Joshi formed a special team that conducted searches in Agartala, Calcutta, Daharkanda, Hakimpur, Gopalnagar, Petropol, Pargana West Bengal and Bangladesh border.
