Relevance of Gandhi-Nehru philosophy discussed
Jodhpur: Various sessions were held on the second day of Rajasthan Literature Festival 2023 on Sunday. In the first session, a lecture was held on the theme of everlasting relevance of Gandhi and Nehru philosophy. Justice Govind Mathur, former Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, delivered a lecture on this.
In conversation with First India, Mathur described Gandhi as the soul of the country and said that Nehru, a disciple of Gandhiji, was also a visionary. Justice Govind Mathur said that Mahatma Gandhi gave the message of harmony through ‘Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Je Peer Parai Jaane Re’, ‘Ishwar Allah Tero Naam’.
Apart from litterateurs and poets, school children were also present in the event. Besides, teachers, intellectuals, Vice-Chairman of Mela Authority Ramesh Borana and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s OSD Farooq Afridi were also present on the occasion.
