Taxi-Cab apps can’t charge arbitary fare
Jaipur: The transport department of Rajasthan is going to make provisions in the Rajasthan Motor Vehicle Aggregator Rules 2023 to check irregularities done by cab aggregators. After this, the bike and cab aggregators will not be able to charge arbitrary fare. At the same time, fine will be charged on canceling a ride.
Popular food dileveryapps like Swiggy and Zomato along with other cab/goods transportation companies will also have to follow the rules which are bein planned to rolled out in this month only.
It is to be noted that users frequently complain about the services provided by such apps, and several ‘consumerrelated issues’ as well as criminal complaints have been registered against employees (riders) of many such dilevery/cab service providers.
