ACB team attacked while catching cop in Dholpur
Dholpur: A team of Anti-Corruption Bureau team had to face the ire of relatives and neighbours of a head constable accused of being involved in a bribery case in Dholpur. The family members pelted stones at the ACB team which left one deputy SP and two other policemen injured, police said.
The ACB team from Karauli had gone to arrest the head constable Vinod Sharma on Thursday night at his house near Gaushala where about three dozen relatives and neighbours pelted stones while they were about to take him in custody.
The people took Sharma along after a scuffle with the team, police said, adding that a case has been registered at Nihalganj police station. ACB Karauli’s Deputy SP Amarchand and two constables suffered injuries in the stone-pelting.
