App, travel card to make rides better in city’s low-floor buses
Jaipur: Passengers travelling in low- floor buses will now be able to know the time of arrival of the bus at different stops through an app. With the special efforts of JCTSL CMD Ajitabh Sharma, it is expected that the app will be launched by December 15. This would be a boon for the urban transport in Jaipur. Passengers will be able to use travel cards in these buses on the lines of Jaipur Metro. The draft design of the travel card has been finalised under Sharma’s supervision. From December 15, the passengers will be able to travel in lowfloor buses using the card. Under the pilot project, the travel card will initially be given to 500 passengers and later its number will be increased. Sharma has been taking decisions in the last few months to bring the city buses on track in the capital. Travel cards and the app will make travelling in low- floor buses easier and more convenient for passengers.
