Barmer police seizes heroin worth Rs 35 lakhs from Jaisalmer

Barmer: Police seized one more consignment of heroin from the nearby Jaisalmer district. Police seized 312 grams of heroin from Myajlaar village in Jaisalmer. The market value of the seized consignment is Rs 35 lakhs in the international market, police said. It is informed that police got the input about the said consignment during the interrogation of the smugglers who are presently on police remand.

SP Digant Anand while confirming the development said that the police team led by circle officer of Chohtan Dharmendra Dukiya interrogating the wanted smuggler Bhutta Singh alias Nakhat Singh alias Prem Singh Rajput, resident of Narsingar village, who was arrested on production warrant from Sri Ganganager. Barmer police also registered a case against him at Gadara Road police station in Barmer for his alleged involvement in the cross-border smuggling of heroin.

The team also nabbed notorious accused Gulab Singh, a resident of Myaajlar who had given one packet of heroin to Arjun Singh.
