CGST Superintendent, Inspector in ACB net
Jaipur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Monday caught CGST superintendent and inspector while taking a bribe of Rs 5,000 in capital city Jaipur. The accused superintendent Raniwas Sirova and inspector Shailendra Kumar of CGST range-13, Vishwakarma Industrial area, had demanded the bribe from a businessman in lieu of releasing the amount of his garment firm. For the payment of Rs 62,000, they demanded the bribe of Rs 5000. They were also demanding Rs 50,000 for releasing Rs 10 lakh, outstanding amount of CGST input’s service tax. After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the accused was held while taking Rs 5000, ADG ACB Hemant Priyadarshy said. They were arrested under the prevention of corruption act.
