CONGRESS LEADERS TAKE TO STREETS

Jaipur: The Congress on Friday gheraoed the Raj Bhavan against inflation, GST and the policies of the Central Government and gave mass arrests. Protests were carried out from Delhi to Jaipur. In Jaipur, Congress leaders and workers led by PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra gave arrests. The Congress leaders were taken into custody and taken to Vidyadhardhar Nagar police station. Notably, Friday was celebrated as ‘Black Friday’ by Congress.

Heavy rains could not stop the Congress from protesting. On behalf of the Rajasthan Congress Committee, a public meeting and sit-in was organised at the Civil Lines railway crossing from 11 am to 1 pm. After the dharna, Congress workers made a symbolic gherao of the Raj Bhavan and gave their arrest. PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra, Minister Pratap Singh Khachariawas, Parsadi Lal Meena, Mahesh Joshi, Hemaram Chaudhary, Govind Meghwal, Sukhram Vishnoi, along with prominent MLAs and leaders attended the protest.
