‘DOUBLE EDGED SWORD’ MAMATA HARMS NOT JUST ‘ENEMIES’, BUT FRIENDS TOO!

New Delhi: Trinamool Congress National President and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is like a double-edged sword. Neither her friendship is good nor her enmity. In fact, sometimes she even harms her friends with her politics.

As she reached Uttar Pradesh for campaigning, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav gave her a grand welcome, but since then she has been giving statements, which are likely to harm the SP itself.

Keep in mind that Akhilesh Yadav or any opposition leader does not make personal attacks on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Akhilesh even says that he will send Yogi packing to Gorakhpur, but he does not say anything derogatory because he knows that there will be a reaction among Hindus.

However, Mamata Banerjee said that Adityanath is not a Yogi, rather a ‘Bhogi’ and is scared. Earlier, when she was holding a joint press conference with Akhilesh Yadav, she did not know the name of RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary, an ally of SP.

She sat in the press conference without any preparation and during the conference she asked Akhilesh the name of Jayant Chaudhary on the stage itself, which did not go down well with Jats.

Then Mamata said that her party did not fight in Uttar Pradesh because she did not want to harm Akhilesh.

What harm could she do? Was she alluding to the division of Muslim votes? Earlier, her party’s MP Mahua Moitra said in Goa that her party was preventing Hindu votes from consolidating so that the BJP would suffer, an issue which Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised it in the election campaign
