ED should do its work but not under pressure from above: CM
Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday said the State govt has no problem with ED acting in the state but the agency should not work under pressure from the above.
“The accused (in paper leak) has been arrested even though he was a RPSC member. Opposition is only working to confuse the people. ED should do its work, we have no problem but working under pressure from above is wrong for ED. The Central agencies should work impartially. I am praying to ED in Sanjeevani scam that Rs 900 crores belonging to people have drowned. ED has authority to look into this matter, but it is not taking up this matter,” he told the media after chairing a review meeting on crime and law and order at the PHQ.
He showed seriousness in cases of fraud in land matters are increasing. “Liquor is also being sold after 8 pm. I repeat again that if liquor is sold after 8 pm, then action will be taken against police station concerned,” he said.
