GOVT STRICT ON ORGANISED CRIME AND GANGS: GEHLOT
Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot on Thursday patted the police for cracking the whip on the perpetrators of gangster Raju Thehat murder in Sikar. He also gave instructions for strict action against gangsters and to run a campaign against organised crime. Gehlot gave these and more instruction while reviewing the law and order in a meeting at PHQ here. DGP Umesh Mishra gave presentation to CM. After the meeting Gehlot addressed the media and said that if liquor is sold after 8 pm, it will be the responsibility of the SHO and the SP. “History sheets of all gangsters are being scrutinized and police is working against such gangsters. Discussion was held in the meeting about how crime should be under control. Crime will not be tolerated in the state at all. Every complaint will be heard,” he said. Gehlot said that welcome rooms have been set up in every police station in the state and it means that it means that now people will be heard in the police stations. “Nowadays gangs are operating from abroad as well. Our government has controlled crime. Many decisions have been taken in today’s meeting.
Action will also be taken against employees having links with criminals even if senior police officers are involved.He said that the SPs have to crack down on gravel mafia and the government is strict on matters of disputed land. “Nowadays the land mafia is active, they sell the same land at many places. In Jaipur alone, 50,000 cases are related to disputed lands and plots.” he said.
