Jaipur: 4 people, including a Block Development Officer (BDO) and 2 sons of an independent MLA, were arrested on Saturday for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakh in Alwar district. They were later remanded to the judicial custody by judge Upendra Sharma.
According to an ACB spokesperson, BDO Netram posted in Rajgarh, and sons of independent legislator Kanti Prasad Meena from Thanagazi constituency Lokesh Meena and Krishnkant Meena, and Jaipratap Singh had demanded a bribe of Rs 9 lakh to clear outstanding bills of `14 lakh of the complainant. The action took place under directions of DG ACB BL Soni and ADG Dinesh MN.
MLA Kanti Prasad Meena, however, has alleged that his sons have been framed. “Rajasthan became capital of corruption under the rule of Congress govt. Zero tolerance policy against corruption of Gehlot ji; Everything is fair for the chair, chair should remain saved,” Poonia tweeted.
