RIL to sign LOI worth ₹ 1L cr to invest in Rajasthan today

Jaipur: The country’s leading private sector company Reliance Industries Limited will make one of the biggest investments ever in the renewable energy sector in Rajasthan.

The company will sign a letter of intent for investing Rs 1 lakh crore in the state on February 8. This is the biggest ever project in the field of renewable energy.

According to the letter of intent, the company will produce 20,000 MW of solar power. For this, the company will need one lakh acres of land.

Keeping in view the potential of solar energy in Western Rajasthan, Reliance has expressed its intention to set up projects in Jalore, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Barmer.

The investment will generate 10,000 employment opportunities. Reliance had announced its foray into the renewable energy sector last year.
