RSGL creates record with 37% growth in CNG, PNG distribution

Jaipur: Rajasthan State Gas Ltd. (RSGL) has made a record by distributing 16.58 MMSCM (Million Standard Cubic Meter) CNG & PNG in the year 2022-23 with a growth rate of 37%.

RSGL had supplied 12.05 MMSCM gas in the year 2021-22, Additional Chief Secretary Mines and Petroleum Veenu Gupta informed. She directed Rajasthan Gas Ltd to give priority to increase the availability of CNG and PNG gas for domestic consumers as well as industrial and commercial institutions through CNG stations.

Addressing the 36th Board Meeting of RSGL at Udyog Bhawan, Gupta said that Rajasthan Gas has given great relief to the common consumers by reducing the rates of CNG-PNG in the past.

She informed that CNG is 45 per cent cheaper than petrol and 15 per cent cheaper than diesel, while PNG being cheaper by 25 per cent compared to LPG is promoting green energy and people are getting cheap fuel options.
