SHO held for keeping drugs, letting off accused in Karauli
Karauli: The Station House Officer (SHO) of Suroth Police Station, Sharif Ali, was arrested for allegedly possessing illegal narcotics drugs. Officials informed that 357 grams of opium was recovered from the possession of the station house officer, following which, he was arrested.
“Two miscreants were arrested by the SHO for keeping illegal narcotics. However, the SHO kept the drugs with himself and let go of the miscreants. The matter reached the Inspector General of Police (IG), following which, Hindaun DSP arrested the SHO with the illegal drugs. A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act ) has been registered against the SHO and the matter is being investigated,” police said.
