STATE GOVERNMENT FILES CAVEAT AS DR SOMYA LIKELY TO MOVE HC

Jaipur: After the dismissal of Dr Somya as Mayor and councillor of JMC Greater, the state government on Tuesday filed a caveat in the High Court in view of the possibility of challenging the decision of the state govt. Now, if Dr Somya approaches High Court, the court will also have to hear the side of the state government before giving any kind of interim order. AAG Anil Mehta said in the caveat that the state government’s side should also be heard before the High Court gives any interim order in this matter. The LSG department issued an order on Tuesday dismissing Dr Somya under the Rajasthan Municipality Act2009. Reacting to her dismissal as JMCG Mayor, Dr Somya said her life is full of struggle and the struggle will continue. “At present no copy of the dismissal order has been received. Further action will be taken after getting the copy,” she said. The way to go to the High Court is currently open to her.
